Yo! Every year for the past several years, I've helped interpret for a group of students from Saitama who come over here on a homestay program. I help teach autobody painting, and in the process get to paint some of my own stuff. It's a lot of fun, but this year they are having me break off from that group to take a group of high school students from a school in Yokohama on local tours. I'd rather stay with the Saitama group, because it is easy and I like the projects, but the Yokohama group pays a little more, and I'm more or less just a tour guide. I pick the Yokohama group up at the airport tomorrow.
I didn't paint much this year. What I did do (a sample for what we could do with our little Shriner cars) didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, but oh well. If I ever do actually pick up my car, I want to paint it a marble candy-apple read with a gold pearl. Any car guy out there knows exactly what that would look like.
One of the Saitama teachers wants to take my info back to Japan, possibly for an employment opportunity. I'm not really expecting much, but it would be a lot of fun....
